Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $25,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
The restaurants keep coming to that block of Broadway just south of Center — three in the last two months alone. First Beatrice & Woodsley and Delite, and now Karma, at 22 South Broadway. A sign on the door announces that it’s “Opening Soon for Dine-In” — and judging from a peek through the glass, the dining room should be rather sleek. Once it’s open, and there’s no date yet. In the meantime, Karma is take-out and delivery only (free within a certain central area), with offerings ranging from Asian Tapas (including “Vampire Buster” kim chee) to such entrees as “Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp” and “Hoisin Exploding Chicken or Beef.”
Hope this Karma place has better Karma than the Karma Cafe, the coffeehouse sandwiched between Lola and Vita on Boulder Street that closed up shop a few months ago — but at least that freed up the name. For more on this Karma, go to www.karmaasian.com. — Patricia Calhoun
