For weeks now, we’ve been following the action — or lack thereof — at Moon Time, Westword‘s nearby watering hole at 846 Broadway. When we stopped by almost three weeks ago, the joint was reportedly closed for HVAC work, and on August 2, a new sign on the door said that Moon Time would be closed that Saturday for more work, then reopening on a limited schedule Wednesday through Saturday.

But last night, the place wasn’t open and today, we found workers unplugging the electric signs and putting up a banner that says that the space is for sale.

To potential buyers, let me assure you that a good bar has a built-in base with Westword so close.

And to the folks who just pulled the plug, we’ll miss you, Moon Time. — Patricia Calhoun
