Little Raven Vineyards, the distinctive wine shop at 1590 Little Raven Street, wants to reward you for coming up with culinary creations. Just uncork your mind and create a recipe involving wine — and you could win a free bottle of the grape juice. The top two submissions will also be featured on the store’s website.
So start thinking, and then start cooking: Submissions should be e-mailed to myturn@littleravenvineyards.com by the end of Saturday, March 28.
And really, it shouldn’t be that tough. Store owner Peter Klann says his favorite submission thus far was very uncomplicated: “It only had three steps. 1) Get a wine glass. 2) Get wine. And 3) Drink.”
The Little Raven website also includes an archaic word game (explained there), and the store gives prizes if you break the code. I stared blankly at the site for about fifteen minutes, at which point I finally spotted a quote by W. C. Fields:
