Lola, at 1575 Boulder Street, rolled out its new brunch menu yesterday. The chicken and waffles plate is gone, but the award-winning chicken-fried steak is back, alongside peaches and cream pancakes, buffalo chimichanga, a lamb torta and sweet corn grits.
And the weekend brunch menu isn’t the only change. Tonight Lola introduces Monday Barrio Night, which takes over where the 4 to 6 p.m. happy hour (new menu there, too) leaves off. From 5 p.m. until close, the kitchen will offer an assortment of upscaled street dishes, including the buffalo chimichanga and fried chicken barrio, as well as drink specials ranging from a can of Tecate for $2 to a coin-style marg for $5. There will also be live music from 7:30 p.m. until close.
