Lucy, the restaurant that occupies the second floor of Comedy Works South at the Landmark in Greenwood Village, has been on hiatus since July 2. At the time, Comedy Works marketing manager Susan Collyar told Westword that the restaurant was being “revamped” and would be open by the end of the month.
On Sunday, the Denver Post reported the owners of the Landmark development had filed for bankruptcy protection; they still owe more than half of their original $182 million construction loan.
But Lucy is still planning to open early next week, says a Comedy Works employee who answered the phone there. The bankruptcy filing? He hadn’t heard of that and put me on hold. When he got back on the line, he assured me that Lucy isn’t going out of business and the restaurant should be open on the 10th.
