The Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers first brought stone-baked Southern-style pizza to the Colorado via the suburbs, opening a restaurant at the Streets at SouthGlenn in Centennial last August.
And soon, on Monday, July 12, the franchise will open a second location downtown at the Tabor Center on 16th and Lawrence.
The Atlanta-based chain will serve pizzas, calzones and hoagies, washed down with libations from a full bar or one of 36 draft beers while diners enjoy nightly live entertainment and a year-round covered patio. And since the restaurant will be open until 1:30 am nightly, it will also constitute one of the latest dinner options in the area.
