If you don’t have big plans this weekend, then head to the hills for the Mesa Verde Country Food, Wine and Art Festival, which kicks off Saturday and continues Sunday. The mountain festival peddles foodstuffs from several local and regional restaurants, farmers and producers (if you do nothing else, seek out the amazing artisan cheeses from James Ranch), plus wines from more than a dozen Colorado vintners, including Guy Drew Vineyards, Garfield Estates and Two Rivers Winery and Chateau.Tickets are $15 per person in advance and $20 at the gate.
