By now you’ve read that disloyal ladder climber Jason Sheehan is leaving Westword for the grayer pastures of Seattle, which — shhhhhhh — he actually thinks is a borough of New York. We didn’t have the heart to tell him it’s just a wetter, NBA-less version of Denver.

Kidding! We’re gonna miss him, and we’re jealous Seattle gets to read him every week day. But all tear-infused kvetching aside, we need someone to fill his lobster miso- and Jameson-stained shoes. Read the help-wanted ad after the jump.

Westword has an immediate opening for an experienced food critic/blogger to cover Denver’s restaurants. We want a stylish, opinionated writer who can produce a weekly review for print and multiple daily posts for the Cafe Society blog. The ideal candidate will be part of the alt-weekly readership and have professional kitchen experience &/or education. This is a fulltime, salaried staff position with benefits. Interested and qualified applicants should send cover letter, résumé, and clips or a sample review to: Cafereviewer@westword.com
