Open Tap Bar & Grill has turned off the tap. The space at 1446 South Broadway that once held Cafe Cero has gone dark, again; several restaurant groups are eying the spot, which has a great outdoor patio and a challenging, if charming, interior.
Once a high-end Italian restaurant, Cafe Cero had become more of a Mexican cantina by the time Linda Sarace took it over in the fall of 2008 and turned it into Open Tap. “This place has gone through more owners than I’ve gone through underwear in the last week,” a bar regular said then.
Time for another change.
