For years, The Thin Man has attracted an eclectic crowd of patrons to a space that’s just as eclectic. Inside, you’ll find red mood lighting and walls crowded with Jesus figurines, crosses and saint portraits; outside, you’ll find both a welcoming front patio and, in back, a glorified parking-lot-turned-relaxation-haven.

On the front patio, you can enjoy plenty of people-watching as residents of this artsy neighborhood linger over coffee at nearby St. Mark’s Coffeehouse or over a plate of bombolini at Il Posto. Meanwhile, you can sip on one of the Thin Man’s rotating beer, wine or infused-vodka choices; creations have ranged from cucumber and sweet tea to cinnamon and spicy jalapeño. Refreshing homemade sangria is also served up in both red and white varieties.

Out back, an area that many patrons haven’t discovered yet, the parking lot has been turned into something of a secret hangout. Mismatched chairs and tables rest under shade tents draped with string lights. The film enthusiasts who run the Thin Man will occasionally screen classic movies here.
