Churchill’s Public House had hoped to be open by the Fourth of July — so customers could toast that most American of holidays in a British pub. But that was before a flood on the fifth floor of the new apartment complex at 16th and Boulder streets dripped all the way down to the first-floor corner occupied by Churchill’s.

Despite that setback, Churchill’s — which is right across the street from Lola in LoHi — is close to opening, and was putting some finishing touches on the space today. Keep an eye on the Churchill’s Facebook page for updates.
