The Denver Broncos were frozen out of the Super Bowl last Sunday, but on Thursday, it was the owners of the Denver Beer Co who were shivering in the frigid temperatures. That’s because they had made a wager on the outcome of the game with No-Li Brewhouse in Spokane, Washington, that involved jumping into a river.

But that may not have been the worst of it. The losers of the bet were first required to cover themselves in body paint of the opposing team’s colors — so owners Charlie Berger and Patrick Crawford and other staffers got their game faces on a 2 p.m. yesterday, painted themselves blue and green, chugged a beer and took their polar plunge into the South Platte River at Confluence Park.
Funny? Yes. Crazy? Absolutely. Blame the Broncos.
