Highlands Garden Cafe is back in business. After a long winter’s nap, this week Pat Perry reopened her restaurant in Highland, where the garden is already in bloom. To celebrate the new patio season, Highlands Garden is taking names for a drawing to win a $50 gift certificate to Mondo Vino (Best Wine Shop in the Best of Denver 2013).

But you don’t need to enter the contest to get a prize: All you need to do, Perry says, is ask “Where have you been?” when you enter the restaurant, and you’ll get “a glass of bubbles to start off the evening.” And tomorrow, Highlands Garden will be host its first Friday night Paella Party — garden salad, paella and ice cream for $26.
