Pizza Fusion, which opens today at 571 East Colfax, in conjunction with Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, is pursuing a beer and wine liquor license that will add a roundup of liquid libations to go with its organically inclined, oval-shaped pies.

The hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on May 27 at the Wellington Webb building, 201 West Colfax. In the meantime, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based national (and international) pizza chain is handing out free personal size pizzas until 9 p.m. tonight.
