The space that once held Luciano’s Pizza & Wings has been vacant since the pizza place closed in March, seized for back taxes.
But there are signs of life at 1043 Broadway. Specifically, a sign that Pizza Pizza has applied for a liquor license at the address.

Also noted on the application is a request to add a bar and decrease the kitchen area. So while the new tenant appears to be doubling the emphasis on pizza, don’t look for the Buffalo hot wings that were a Luciano’s specialty.
The liquor-license hearing is set for 9 a.m. Friday, December 14 at the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses in the Wellington E. Webb building, 201 West Colfax Avenue.
