Puerto Vallarta, the coastal Mexican joint that occupied a corner lot at 75 South Federal Boulevard for as long there’s been shrimp in the sea (okay, that’s a slight exaggeration) is now bordered up with blond wood. But if that’s where you migrated to get your mariscos, don’t heave: The shellfish have just swum a few laps up the block to 35 North Federal Boulevard, Puerto Vallarta’s new digs and the same spot that once held Don Quijote, another Mexican haunt that served ham-hock fajitas and paella Valenciana. At Puerto Vallarta, the menu is a catchall of seafood, traditional Mexican dishes and buckets of cold cerveza.
