This week Gretchen Kurtz visited bubu Lowry, where she particularly liked the veggie ramen. But the real star was the happy hour she found there, with prices “low enough to also lower expectations for the nibbles we paired with our drinks,” she writes in her bubu Lowry review. But then, she didn’t encounter — or is that create? — the situation one reader did. Says Al:
Really good ramen, very nice, but they cut me off after a few Asahis. It got awkward very quickly and I’m not sure I’m comfortable going back. I think I’ll stick to Osaka and Cho77; they have always been super-nice and their food is better, anyhow.
