Their hatred of the column blinded a few readers to the fact that Jenn Wohletz took over yesterday’s In the Weeds shift from Kyle Garratt. (Yes, many, many writers pay the bills with restaurant jobs.)
But a few discerning folks homed in on the critical point in Jenn’s piece: the reference to Manwich.
And that inspired this recipe from davebarnes:
I love Sloppy Joes.
Sauté chopped green pepper and onion. Set aside.
Brown 1# of burger.
Add back pepper, onions, 1 can/jar of Manwich, 1 cup of water and a splash of vinegar.
Simmer to thicken.
Toast buttered bun and serve.
