The Great American Food Truck Race descended on Denver this past weekend, bringing lots of food and fun, as well as comments like this from Kay Ryan:

Uhmm… try not to use the term, “paddy wagon,” which originated from a time when the Irish were rounded up in large jail trucks; hence, the term, “Paddy” (a depersonalizing referring to all Irish men during a time when anti-Irish sentiment and harassment of Irish immigrants was very prevalent).

Never mind that the Paddy Wagon is the name of Chicago Louie’s hot dog truck , brought to us by Michael Wahaltere.
