A record number of restaurants opened in metro Denver in 2014. Although a few more could sneak in before the ball drops on 2015, last week we took a look back over the restaurant action of the past year and served up our Fifteen Best New Restaurants of Metro Denver in 2014 . So far.

But although it was an undeniably great year for the Denver dining scene, readers have their quibbles. Says Jose:

I like how best always equals most expensive.

Not always: The hundreds of restaurants that opened in metro Denver over the past year included some great pho spots and fast-casual joints that can be real bargains. What meal deals did you find this year? What do you consider the best new inexpensive restaurant?
