Neighborhoods around Denver are changing — and RiNo might be changing the fastest. The area is technically part of Five Points, and picked up the RiNo nickname — short for River North, since this section is bordered by the Platte — a decade ago. Since then, the area has rapidly evolved from a haven for artists and DIY venues to a hot spot for pricy new housing, craft breweries and hip bars. This spring, the Central Market will join the lineup. An update on the spots going into that venture at 2669 Larimer Street prompted this response from Colin:
RiNo is just about done. By 2021 it will be a joke to still refer to it as an arts district. It’ll just be a yupster consumerism crossfit artisanal smug vegan craft transplant entitlement district.
