“If you want to heat up any discussion, just mention green chile and Denver in the same sentence.” That’s how we started the piece introducing our latest list of the ten best spots in town for green chile, and proof soon poured in. Readers complained about the spelling of chile, daring to celebrate Denver’s green chile over the New Mexico version, and even allowing Pueblo fans to have their say. And then there was this from Brett:

Your pretentious Denver-bashing is getting a little old, Westword. Since when did it become cool to s@$t all over your hometown? And btw, just because you disguise it as “readers” doing the bashing doesn’t make you any less culpable. Done reading this garbage.
