I’ve yet to find a cuisine I’d pass up in just about any context. But at the end of a long day, I often go looking for that holy grail of low-key dinners: hot pizza and cold beer.

There are plenty of places in Denver that feature both good beer lists and good pies. But Hops and Pie, which opened last fall on Tennyson Street, is attempting to elevate the combination to something special.

In their tiny sliver of a spot, Drew and Leah Watson match craft beers with craft pies. And over the span of a few weeks, I managed to eat — and drink — my way through nearly the entire menu.

How did the pizzas and suds measure up? Find out tomorrow when the review is posted here.
