A few weeks ago, I reported that Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse had gone dark at 1445 Market Street.

Now, according to the website of Schur Success Auction Services, the late temple of testosterone has “defaulted on taxes owed to the City of
Denver,”  which means that if you’re in the market for champagne buckets, bar mats, a humador, 200+ bottles of wine (hell, yeah!), pots and pans or trashcans, then you’ll be pleased to know that beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, June 8, all of that stuff — and a whole lot more — will be sold to the highest bidder so that the steakery can pony up the cash to satisfy its debt to the City of Denver.

The auction takes place at the restaurant’s former home, and if you want to stalk the goods before the crowds show up, you can arrive as early as 9 a.m. to register and get a sneak peek.
