Today is all about cheese at Haystack Mountain Goat Creamery‘s cheese-making course and creamery tour. Cheesemaking 101 will introduce students to the basics of cheese-making at home, and award-winning cheesemaker Jackie Chang will be on hand to answer questions. Students will learn about the science behind cheesemaking, basic equipment and ingredients, milk options and considerations, good recipes to start with, and more. You’ll get to watch a demonstration of how chèvre and ricotta are made and you will also be able to sample and buy Haystack cheeses. The class runs from 2 to 4 p.m. and is $30; register and learn more here.
