Spell-check screwed Bradley Smoker when the company sent out a press release yesterday with a chicken wings recipe that called for “a little fine grated ptarmigan.” What they meant to write, of course, was Parmesan, but somehow the grouse sneaked in there instead. This is either the result of a seriously ridiculous first attempt at spelling the Italian cheese or an especially shrewd publicity stunt. Either way, the company apologized for its typo in a followup release. “The little game birds do not taste all that good when grated into a spice mix,” the release noted, “and let’s face it, they squirm around a lot too.”
