July is National Ice Cream Month, and ABC’s The View will celebrate by featuring five top-notch ice cream shops from around the country on this Friday’s show.
One of the chosen, frozen treat-slingers? Denver’s very own Sweet Action Ice Cream.
Owner Sam Kopicko and her partner (and boyfriend), Chia Basinger, flew to New York Monday night to do their bit. “It’s a quick little segment at the end of the show,” Kopicko explains. “The hosts come around and sample the ice cream and talk about the shops.”
She and Basinger had brought in some representative flavors for the occasion, and doled out samples of Stranahan’s whiskey brickle as well as salted butterscotch, baklava and chocolate whoopie pie, in honor of The View co-host Whoopie Goldberg.
In addition to Sweet Action, Friday’s show — which airs at 10 a.m. here — will feature shops from Texas, Georgia, Louisiana and Washington, D.C.
