Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, the family-owned, homegrown Tacos y Salsas chain has opened its most colorful location — in downtown Denver, in the former home of Cilantro Fusion at 1531 Stout Street.
This Tacos y Salsas offers the same wide array of tacos, as well as a self-serve chips and salsa bar. But it also has a full bar (not all Tacos y Salsas locations have a liquor license), as well as new combination plates: thirteen pre-set combos, and if none of those work, diners can build their own.
That’s not the only innovation at this new spot: A plan is in the works to include an “express” burrito bar.
The downtown Tacos y Salsas is open 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Monday, and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until three a.m., hours that should make it popular as the bar-hopping crowd leaves LoDo.
