Double the pleasure, double the fun: That will likely be the sentiment of downtown denizens residing in the Prospect neighborhood, just west of Coors Field, if liquor licenses are approved for Tavern Prospect and Metro Liquor, both of which have posted separate liquor-license application signs on the cavernous, two-tiered, vacant brick building at 2907 Huron Street.

Tavern Prospect, part of the Tavern Hospitality Group (The Littleton Tavern opens on May 23), will go for its liquor-license hearing at the Wellington Webb building at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 16, while Dennis Mueller, owner of Metro Liquor, is scheduled for a hearing on his retail liquor store-license application on Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.
