Tomorrow marks the day when French nationals, Francophiles, Francophonies and the majority of Denver’s French restaurants celebrate Bastille Day, the national holiday of France that commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789 at the start of the French Revolution. But Le Central, 112 East Eighth Avenue, is getting an early start, beginning at 6 p.m. tonight, with a pre-Bastille party.

And you can bet it’s going to be wild one, especially since the bistro is debuting its new patio (which is always reason for celebrating), on which patrons will be generously fed and lubricated with $3 glasses of sangria and all-you-can-stomach paella for $10 per person. About that paella: It’ll be cooked in a pan that’s big enough to feed fifty people — which is pretty revolutionary in and of itself. For more info, call 303-863-8094.
