Every Wednesday throughout the summer, Elway’s Cherry Creek, 2500 East First Avenue, hosts a live music performance on the mall beyond its patio from 6:30 to 9 p.m. This is more than just a concert, though; it’s a real scene.
This year’s series is almost over, so grab a spot in Elway’s “back yard” while you can. Here’s the schedule of local acts still to perform:
Something Underground — an “energetic blend of rock, reggae, folk and pop” — takes the stage tonight.
That Eighties Band brings its tribute to the ’80s on August 15, covering bands like Bon Jovi, Madonna, Prince, Billy Idol, ACDC and more.
Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $22,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
On August 22, The Informants will perform their unique take on the blues.
And veteran funk rockers Opie Gone Bad will close the series on August 29.
