Four Mile Historic Park will host the sixth annual “Colorado Corks and Cuisine” from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, May 14 in Grant Hall at the park at 715 South Forest Street. Strings, at 1700 Humboldt Street, will offer its own “Spring Fling Wine Tasting” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on May 14. Contributions go to Volunteers of America; for details, call 303-831-7310.

And while Senegal’s Independence Day was April 4, Alliance Francaise will celebrate it at 7 p.m. May 14 with “A Taste of Senegal,” a dinner cooked by Aminita Dia, a native of Senegal who owns the catering company Ami Cuisine. The event is at 571 Galapago, and costs $24 for Alliance members, $28 non-members. For more information, call 303-831-0304.
