One of the best things about Marczyk Fine Foods, other than the fine foods, is that the shop, at 770 East 17th Avenue, has found a way around the out-dated Colorado blue law that keeps grocery stores from selling full-strength alcohol: the owners have simply opened a liquor store in an adjacent space.
But for those who can’t always make it down to Marczyk Fine Wines for tastings, owner Pete Marczyk and his crew have started posting online “video tastings”, in which they sample offerings from their monthly wine club.
Sure, watching the videos isn’t the same as actually tasting the wine yourself. But at least you can brush up on your vino lingo and prepare for your next trip into Uptown.
