While the world focuses on the ISIS attacks in Paris, Syria is torn by war and terrorism. But one Islamic family in Denver is doing its best to help Syrian refugees by sending clothes and other supplies overseas to those displaced from their homes.
Videographer Kevin Beaty met with Mahmoud Kassir and his family, who have run Damascus Restaurant on South Colorado Boulevard since 1990, to find out more about their efforts to spread charity – and to highlight their culture through good food.
