“On 11/11, we’re opening to the world.”

That was Adam Schlegel talking about the newest Snooze, which opened yesterday at 6781 South York Street at the Streets at SouthGlenn after two days of soft opening charity events that benefited the Parade of Lights and Project Cure.

This is the fourth Snooze from Adam and his brother Jon, who set alarms ringing all over the city when they sprung the first Snooze on the Ballpark neighborhood, following that with additional locations in the Hale ‘hood and Fort Collins.

Like the Snooze’s before it, this one is retro and whimsical. “We tweaked the design a bit, and the layout is different,” says Adam, “but the circular booths and lampshades are still part of the overall scheme.” The menu, he notes, is exactly the same, which means that south suburbanites don’t have to make the trek to Denver to flip for the pineapple upside down pancakes, or the corned beef hash.

Will you step up to support Westword this year?

At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $23,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.

$50,000

There’s a sidewalk patio, too, and according to Adam, he and Jon are also working on a permit to build a patio at the Colorado Boulevard location. As for a fifth Snooze, Adam says that he’s not actively looking, but if a “great opportunity came along…”

The hours for the Streets at SouthGlenn Snooze are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 2:30 on Saturday and Sunday. For more info, dial 303-734-9655.
