Westminster has never really been known as a dining destination, but the culinary scene in the suburbs for ris slowly evolving. Over the next year, three new food halls are slated to open and next month, it will host the first annual Westy Restaurant Week.
From April 17 through April 26, participating local restaurants will offer deals at a variety of price points — $15, $25, $35, $45 or $55. The approach is similar to the current iteration of Denver Restaurant Week, which just wrapped up its 22nd edition on March 15 and had over 270 participating restaurants.
So far, Westy Restaurant Week’s list of participating eateries is much shorter at just over thirty spots, many of which are national chains — including Carrabba’s, Dickey’s Barbecue, Postino and Bonefish Grill.
But there are some locally-owned favorites, too, like Law’s Chophouse, Perdida and its sister restaurant, Homegrown Tap & Dough, as well as Jim’s Burger Haven, which just launched new and improved buns. Its offer: $25 for two four-inch double cheeseburgers, two fries and two single-flavor shakes, available for lunch or dinner.
There’s also still time for more restaurants to sign up by the April 6 deadline.

“The dining scene in Westminster is expanding in deliciously diverse and creative ways,” says Westminster Mayor Claire Carmelia in announcing the new event. “We are thrilled to welcome more residents and visitors into our restaurants to experience everything we have to offer.”
Restaurants can choose the price point and meal offers that work for them, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Diners can keep track of offers via a digital passport that lists all of the participating businesses. While visiting restaurants, diners can check in to collect points, earn digital badges and gain entries to win gift cards.
“Our restaurants are vital to the growth, energy, and success of our community. We are thrilled to work together to put Westminster’s dining scene in the spotlight,” Carmelia concludes.
