Rich Grant, the beer-loving communications director for Visit Denver, is looking for the perfect Colorado cocktail. Something he could pour out for visiting journalists to give them a taste of our city — the mile-high equivalent of a Manhattan, or a Mint Julep, or a Hurricane,

My suggestion: The Mile High Plunge, a boilermaker made with Coors Light and Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey, which reminds us that “Great Minds Drink Alike.”

Come up with a better idea, and I’ll buy you a cocktail when Rich Grant get behind the bar at 5 p.m. tonight at the Denver Press Club, 1330 Glenarm Place.
