Applebee’s is scheduled to unveil its new took today at the store at 410 South Colorado Boulevard.
That’s one of the sixteen Front Range restaurants owned by AmRest, LLC, the second-largest Applebee’s franchisee in the United States, which is remodeling restaurants from Loveland to Colorado Springs, giving them not just a new interior, but a new menu. “We’re breathing new life into our restaurants, giving them stronger connections to their individual neighborhoods and providing our guests with exceptional experiences,” said Mike Muldoon, brand president for AmRest Applebee’s, in an unironic release announcing the project. “Our customers’ commitment to us over the years and our desire to reciprocate with high levels of food quality and service were the leading reasons for us to make this significant investment in Colorado. We anticipate that our neighbors from Thornton and Brighton to Centennial and Aurora will surely appreciate the fresh new look and approach we are bringing to the neighborhood.”
Muldoon anticipates that the renovation of his group’s restaurants will be done by August. The rest of the 2,000 Applebee’s nationwide are also slated for a facelift.
The Colorado Boulevard store closed on Sunday for the remodel, which was initially supposed to be unveiled yesterday, but was pushed back until today.(I called that restaurant a few minutes ago to confirm the reopening and was told to check back at 8 a.m. In the meantime, commuters on Colorado Boulevard will spot one noticeable change: those striped awnings have been replaced.
