Showing 89 - 110 of 122After 28 years (and three expansions) at 7699 West 88th Avenue, Hoffbrau Colorado moved to a new 15,000-square-foot space at 9110 Wadsworth Parkway in early 2014. That’s about twice as big as the old location, and the new place features an expanded stage and a more ambitious concert calendar, to boot. And while the old […]
Sure, there are a few boat steering wheels and photos of boats hanging up around the place, but that’s pretty much where the nautical theme ends at Castaways. Despite its name, the lounge is a far cry from being an homage to Gilligan’s Island. Rather, it’s a decent-sized neighborhood joint for folks who are serious […]
Connoisseurs of live music will tell you that something is lost when an artist becomes popular enough to perform in an arena. While this may be true at some places, it’s certainly not the case at Broomfield’s 1STBANK Center, where the sound is pretty well dialed in virtually anywhere you sit. The venue, which sits […]
Skate City Arvada, formerly known as US on Wheels, is an old-school roller-skating rink with a price that’s hard to beat. A two-hour skating session is only $5, and it’s $1.50 for each additional session after that. Classes are available for all age levels, and discounts are offered for group outings.
This 24-screen theater is located off Highway 36 in Westminster. Amenities include wheelchair-accessible stadium seating, IMAX large-format projection for select features, theater rentals for special events, made-to-order beverages and hot foods, a self-service concession area, and a lounge serving beer, wine and cocktails.
Arvada’s Apex Center isn’t your average gym. The 168,000-square-foot facility features two full-size ice rinks, a natural-rock climbing wall, a therapy pool, indoor and outdoor tracks, and three full gym and workout areas. And then there’s the mini-water park, complete with water slides, a lazy river, and a powerful spray station.
Although vintage guitars share space with a motorcycle mounted on the walls of the Firehouse Tavern, the Westminster bar doesn’t just draw bikers and rockers. Since 2009, the bar’s spacious interior, roomy patio space and affordable drink specials have attracted a diverse crowd, from newly minted 21-year-olds to grizzled toughs sporting bandannas and sleeveless shirts. […]
Hot bartenders and waitresses wearing ass-less chaps with their panties: It seems like a gimmick. But it’s just one of the things that keep guys coming back to this Westminster sports bar. Well, that and live music on the weekends, a decent-sized checkered dance floor, cheep beer, pool, karaoke and a large patio. A working-class […]
A Colorado club mainstay, Babe’s Nightclub (previously House of Babes) has been bringing the white- and blue-collar crowds together at its bar top for over two decades. The family-owned spot for day drinkers and game watchers turns into a full-fledged nightclub on the weekends, playing reggaeton, rap and Top 40 to a packed dance floor. […]
Just when you think Olde Town Arvada might be turning a little too precious, you stumble into the dark and down-home 12 Volt Tavern, an old dive that harks back to the days when factory workers would stop in for a shot before heading home. Today this is a true rock-and-roll joint, with a good […]

Throughout the year, it offers classes and workshops for all ages. Concerts, musicals and art exhibitions are also presented year-round.
The D Note celebrated its tenth anniversary and a change of ownership in 2012, but this live-music venue and full-service restaurant and bar in Olde Town Arvada is still a favorite local hangout and a tourist attraction for out-of-town visitors. Originally envisioned as a performance space/art gallery, it was expanded to include hot eats and […]
New Broomfield facility with climbing pinnacle, high-tech Gymnastics Center, aquatic park and lap pool, indoor track, fitness rooms, Kid Zone and more.
You have to admit it: Dave & Buster’s has fun nailed down. Yes, it’s a chain (with fifty locations across the country). But, come on, where else can you drink and play video games besides in your mom’s basement? What’s more, you can eat here: burgers, pasta, steaks, ribs, “big salads” and a laundry list […]
