From Facebook to Vine, social media is continuing to change the way we experience music. At the 2013 Westword Web Awards, we'll celebrate the bands, fans and venues that are the best at utilizing the various platforms -- and we'd like to get your help finding them. There are two ways you can help us pick this year's winners.

Between now and November 1, go to our web poll and nominate your favorite Denver Tweeters, bloggers, Instagrammers and more in 26 categories, including Best Local Music Act on Social Media, Best Band Website and Best Music Video. Your suggestions will help decide who takes home 2013's top honors. You can nominate in as many or as few categories as you like.
Fancy yourself a filmmaker? We're also looking for the best Denver- and Colorado-related Vine videos in music, as well as the arts, news and food. Entering is easy: Post your videos with the hashtag #DenWeb2013, and we'll invite our favorites to an awards ceremony at Galvanize on December 5 to compete for top honors in front of a live audience.
So what are you waiting for? Click on our web poll and get started.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
