Now that winter recording sessions are over and the mixing and mastering has begun, some pretty rad releases have started to surface. This week, the dudes from Safe Boating is No Accident sent over two new tracks from their upcoming Buckingham Pie Group release, due out in June.

“‘The People That Surround You’ is the opening track of our half of the split,” says Safe Boating’s Leighton Peterson. “It’s an allegory about paranoia and neuroses.”

Along with a second track, “Cancer Wing,” the songs comprise parts of sessions the band recorded for its next yet-to-be-titled full-length, also due out this summer.

The other half of the cassette will also serve as the first official release for SAUNA, a local quartet that, until now, has only shared a few demo recordings via Sound Cloud. The upcoming release will be for sale at Buckingham Pie Group’s website and through the bands themselves.
