Taking to heart the notion that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, DJs Etain, MLE, Jamie Kent and Ms. Vicious formed the all-female DJ collective known as Angelic early this year. Each of these ladies has spent much of the past decade carving out a name for herself on Denver’s male-dominated dance-music scene; they’re all solid DJs who can rock any party individually. As Angelic, they bring their own specialties — ranging from house to breakbeats to tech house — to the decks, offering sounds diverse enough to appeal to any avid clubber. Together they can tear the roof right off a place, leaving the boys in the dust. The Angelic DJs’ new monthly residency at Vinyl takes wing this Friday, October 14.
