Unless you’ve just flown in from some remote part of Papua New Guinea, you’ve probably noticed that it’s been Denver this versus Seattle that all week long. Even Rdio tried to get in on the action, proposing a lame, obvious and antiquated (Apples In Stereo? Dead Kennedys?) Broncos versus Seahawks playlist. (“Exactly what we needed. Thanks, Rdio,” said no one ever.) Not to be outdone, the folks at Beatport have evidently entered into a wager with Subpop, betting, you guessed it, a bunch of stuff from here versus a bunch of stuff from there, including beer from Our Mutual Friend against a pound of Lighthouse Coffee, among other things.
