Bruno Mars is heading to an unexpected spot this year: the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
Okay, the pop star isn’t going to join the Air Force any time soon (as far as we know), but he is going to perform at its Falcon Stadium. The announcement of this state’s stop came in as Mars added 31 new dates to his “The Romantic Tour,” which now includes two shows at the Colorado Springs stadium on September 26 and September 27. The concerts will include openers Anderson.Paak as DJ Pee.Wee and RAYE.
The Romantic Tour delivered the largest single-day ticket sales in Live Nation North American tour history, according to an announcement from the company. It’s easy to understand why: This is Mars’s first full headline tour since his record-breaking 24K Magic World Tour in 2017. The global tour will see Mars, who delivered a phenomenal Red Rocks show in 2013, perform seventy engagements across North America, Europe and the UK, including a six-night run at Wembley Stadium in London.
The tour comes in the wake of the announcement of Mars’s fourth solo album, The Romantic, which releases via Atlantic Records on February 27. Recent singles have included “Die With a Smile,” a collaboration with Lady Gaga that became the fastest song in Spotify history to achieve 1 billion streams and topped the Billboard Global 200 Chart for eighteen weeks.
