DJ Ahwoo, DJ Schematic and DJ Cabda will preside over this month’s Cabaret 13 (Friday, May 31, at Rock Island), where they’ll spin sultry sounds and be surrounded by luscious artwork. The theme of the show is “future erotica,” but don’t expect to see much in the way of Orwellian predictions. The presenter, Christiaan Howard, is notorious for melding customary dance-club activities with those of a more lascivious nature; he’s best known around town for putting on the fetishistic Erotica Ball. Deviant art by Wenda Productions will provide a backdrop for an evening of delightfully decadent dancing. There’s also a contest for the most sinfully dressed. So polish your vinyl — clothing, that is, and make arrangements for a ride home, because this is a party you won’t want to leave early.
