The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
The Denver House Authority are closing up shop on their weekly Friday-night party on the rooftop of Vinyl. After three months holding down the primo spot for their weekly event, the crew is being forced out and will be replaced by the burgeoning popularity of the Friday-night Latin night, which has outgrown its current environs at Bar Standard. No word yet on if they’ll be moving to Bar Standard, another SoCo club, or to a different night/venue altogether. This is a bummer for Denver house-heads (although I am sure salsa and meringue fans are thrilled) but the DHA crew have shown a knack for finding great venues in their time here, so something tells me it will all work out. You can keep up with their happenings and hear all about it when they do find a new home at their MySpace or on the web at www.denverhouseauthority.com
