A handful of tracks get the drum-and-bass treatment from DJ Nofrendo, as well as some great reworkings by local electronic artists like Snubluck and Satan's Eighties Lovechild. In general, these refreshing takes on Air Dubai's originals add and subtract different beats while isolating much of singer and MCs Jon Shockness and Julian Thomas's vocals, offering a fresh look at the versatile group's work.
"The RemixTape came together as a way to collaborate musically with our friends and other musicians," says Shockness. The band was also looking for a way to create a connection between the electronic artists they admired and, in turn, add yet another side to Air Dubai's already multi-dimensional sound.
