Ah, yes, good to see our friends in Flobots are still doing their thing -- and by doing their thing, we mean dependably raging against the machine by being unapologetically outspoken on a variety of incendiary topics. The latest: Bradley Manning, a Private First Class in the United States Army, who is currently being court-martialed on charges of aiding the enemy, among other things, and is facing life in prison if convicted.
While the world's attention is directed on the recent National Security Agency scandal spurred by the leaks of a former NSA contractor, the group is doing its part to make sure Bradley Manning stays top of mind. In addition to being the namesake of act's latest volley, Manning, of course, is the equally controversial figure who is being tried for allegedly leaking classified information to WikiLeaks.
Without hearing the track, which Flobots have made available for free download, you can probably guess where the band's inclinations lie on this issue. We'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. Hint: They're not siding with the establishment. Check out the song by watching the clip above, which the band produced in collaboration with lauded local director, Vince Compareto.
