Crazy how much difference a year can make. This past March, Foster the People was a little-known quantity in the music world making its first trek to Denver for an intimate show at the Walnut Room for a roomful of dialed-in music fans. After returning to the Mile High City for a notably larger gig at the Bluebird Theater this past summer, the outfit exploded on radio with its breakout single, "Pumped Up Kicks," bolstered by a strong showing at Lollapalooza. On July 3, Foster the People will be headlining Red Rocks Amphitheatre for the first time with Mayer Hawthorne & The County. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
