Max3.com, Morning After Records, Gigbot, Indie 101.5FM and FuelFriends will be throwing one heck of a Denver showcase party at South By Southwest next Friday. The lineup includes the Epilogues, Meese, the Photo Atlas, Young Coyotes, Born in the Flood and the Overcasters. This isn't the first time there's been a Denver-focused showcase, of course. A few years ago, the Mile Hi-Fidelity party inspired our own editor to name his weekly radio show after it. Since that party, things in the Denver music scene have only gotten better, and this showcase will certainly prove that. This time around, however, those of us who won't be making the trek down to Austin won't have to miss out on all the fun, thanks to Max3.
Right now, you can pop on over to the www.max3.com and download the Mile Hi-Fidelity compilation for free. The collection boasts tracks from every band lined up for the party, except Meese, and also includes "Simple Girlz" from the most recent Dressy Bessy album. You'll have to set up a Max3 account, which is relatively painless. Before you know it, you'll be the proud owner of six fresh Denver tracks. Then all you'll have to do is grab a beer, slap on a wristband, put on your cowboy hat and pretend you're in Austin.
